Pi Day Celebration!
Saturday March 14th is Pi Day
And we are
going to celebrate this Friday in math class
Pi Day is celebrated on March 14th (3/14) around the world. Pi (Greek letter “π”) is the symbol used in mathematics to represent a constant — the ratio of the circumference of a circle to its diameter — which is approximately 3.1415. (how cool this year!) We will talk about how early mathematicians discovered pi and listen to a story about pi.
If you would like to send in a pie with your child, or anything in the form of a circle, (or anything really J ) it would be greatly appreciated. Please label anything brought in with your child’s name, grade, and period they have math. If you have any questions, contact me at fraassc@desalescatholicschool.org.
