IXL

We are using IXL throughout middle school this year.  It is a website with an unlimited number of problems aligned to each common core standard.  Each student has a unique username and password.  Biweekly, students will be given the standards that they will be required to practice.  Every student has the opportunity to earn a perfect score for a homework grade.  It was introduced to all of my math students last week and already students have put forth 110% effort.  I am so proud of everyone, keep up the good work!

Welcome Back 2016-2017

Welcome back to all the students and their families. It was an awesome summer and I hope you made some wonderful memories. I am looking forward to getting back into the swing of things and getting to know all of the sixth graders. Great things are happening here at DeSales, most notably with Stream Academy. I will be hosting Arcade Academy for middle school students where you can create an arcade game out of recycled materials. It will be held Mondays, there are still openings.  It promises to be a lot of fun, think about signing up! See all of you soon.

Final Days of School

We are heading into the final days of  classes for this school year.  It has gone so fast (for me anyways :) ) and it has been an awesome year.  All middle school students will have the Math final the morning of June 16th.  Each night, you should be practicing math.  By doing this, you will be ready for the final exam.  If you are struggling with any concept, don't hesitate to come and see me.  Hang in there, we are almost there!

Lion King Jr.

I am still in awe over the amazing performance of the Lion King Jr.   I am so proud of all of the students at DeSales for an awesome job no matter if they were on the stage or behind the scenes.  This was my first year as a parent and I am overwhelmed by the way the DeSales community came together and pulled off such a production.  The dedication of the parents and volunteers is truly amazing and I thank everyone who gave up their time and talents for our children.
